Sliders
A slider is a camera support system that allows for smooth and controlled camera movement in a linear direction. It is essentially a long rail with a platform or carriage that holds the camera and allows it to move back and forth along the rail. The movement of the camera is typically controlled by a hand-crank, motor, or remote control.
Sliders are often used to create elegant and subtle camera movements, such as slow pushes or pulls, that can add depth and emotion to a shot. They can also be used to capture tracking shots, such as following a subject through a scene, or to create a parallax effect by moving the camera relative to a foreground or background element.
There are several different types of sliders available, ranging from small, portable systems to larger, more complex systems that can be mounted on tripods or other supports. Some sliders also have features such as adjustable feet or ball bearings that allow for smooth movement on uneven surfaces.
